LastPass Password Migration

Importing your passwords from LastPass to Microsoft Authenticator is easy and quick. There are 7 simple steps, listed below. 


(Important Note: LastPass only allows exporting passwords from a web browser, not an app or program.)

 
  1. 1. Sign in to the LastPass web site and select Advanced Options, and then select Export. 
     
     


  2. 2. Confirm your identity with your LastPass master password. 

  1. 3. The CSV file will be saved to your computer. 

  1. 4. Install the Microsoft Autofill Chrome extension from the Microsoft store. If you already have it, skip to step 5.

  2. 5. Open the Autofill Chrome extension and select Settings.

  1. 6. Select Import data to open a dialog. Then, select Choose File to locate and import the CSV file. 
     
     

  1. 7. After successfully importing your passwords delete the CSV file from your desktop.

To use Microsoft Autofill with Chrome, add the Microsoft Autofill extension to the browser through the Chrome Web Store. Enable the extension, then click the Autofill icon in the Chrome toolbar. Click the Sign in with Microsoft button and sign in with your Microsoft account. 

 

Once signed in, click the Autofill icon again and select the Manage passwords button. Wait a few seconds, and your saved passwords should sync and appear in the list. 

 

If you browse to a site with credentials stored in Authenticator. Your username and password should automatically appear in their respective fields. 

 

You can also go to a site with credentials not yet saved in Authenticator. When you enter your username and password Microsoft Autofill will offer to save your credentials. Click Save.
